The men’s basketball team looks to bounce back after the close 85-87 loss to UL Louisiana while traveling to Alabama Thursday to take on their next conference opponent, the Troy Trojans.

The Eagles currently sit at an overall record of 10-7 and a conference record of 2-2 while being on a one-loss streak. Meanwhile, the Trojans log an overall record of 9-7 and a conference record of 2-2.

Senior guard Tookie Brown is one to definitely be on the watch for as he’s only two points away from reaching 2,000 career points. That one basket shouldn’t be a problem as the senior averages 16.5 points per game and has a field goal percentage of .515.

Jordon Varnado is the leading player to watch for the Trojans as the senior forward averages 19.1 points per game and and has a field goal percentage of .490. Varnado is also another player in the Sun Belt alongside Brown who was named to the mid-season watch list for Lou Henson Award.

Quan Jackson is another impressive Eagle who has proved himself this season as the red-shirt guard has an average of 16.3 points per game and a field goal percentage of .470.

It should be an impressive game as the Eagles average 85 points per game and have an overall .499 field goal percent.

Tip off is set to take place in Troy, Alabama on Thursday at 7:00 p.m. and will be streamed on ESPN+.
