For the first time of the 2018 season, the Georgia Southern football team will be wearing alternate uniforms against No. 25 Appalachian State.

These alternate uniforms have a chrome eagle on the right side of the helmet and the player’s number on the other, as well as a chrome finish all over the jerseys. The coloration of the blue looks the same navy blue on the regular jerseys, but the highlight is the silver Sun Belt logo on the left chest.

Instead of the typical white pants worn at home, the Eagles will be wearing grey pants with a small navy Adidas logo on the right hip.

Kickoff against the ranked Mountaineers is set for 7:30 p.m. from Paulson Stadium Thursday. The game can also be seen on ESPNU.
