GS is set to host NCAA baseball regional

The NCAA selected 16 regional sites to host the 75th annual Baseball championship in which Georgia Southern was selected to host for the first time in the facility’s history. 

What’s new: GS J.I. Clements Stadium will serve as a site for the opening round of The Road to Omaha. 

  • Georgia Southern (40-18), the selection puts the Eagles’ 14th overall appearance in NCAA postseason play and for the first time since 2014.
  • There will be a total of 4 teams playing at each regional location in a double elimination style, and all 16 games are scheduled between Friday June 3rd and Monday June 6th. 

Tickets for the Statesboro Regional are now available for purchase.

  • Regional passes will range from $60 to $90 based on seat location. Single-game tickets go on sale June 2nd at noon, if available.
