"Harry Potter" on campus: Butterbeer

Did you miss your Hogwarts letter all those years ago too? Well, I’ve got you covered on how to make your GSU experience just a little more magical.
Fall is approaching and everyone is out getting their Pumpkin Spice Lattes from the nearby Starbucks. While you and I sit, staring out the window, thinking of what you would order at the Three Broomsticks during a Hogsmeade visit. This of course doesn’t require much thought; it has to be a Butterbeer. The Butterbeer is a classic wizarding drink, tied with Pumpkin Juice that is.
Now, I know you must be thinking that the only way us non-wizarding folk can come close to the glorious drink that is Butterbeer is to visit Orlando’s Wizarding World of Harry Potter. But my friends, there is a cheaper and closer option.
Just go to Starbucks.
But instead of ordering a Pumpkin Spice Latte, order a Butterbeer Frappuccino!
That’s right, on the “secret menu” of Starbucks, there is a Butterbeer Frappuccino, providing us muggles with a small taste of what our magical friends get to drink.
And once you have your Butterbeer Frappuccino in hand just sit down at one of those comfy chairs and imagine that you are actually in the Three Broomsticks, just waiting on Harry, Ron, and Hermione to get back from snooping around under the invisibility cloak.
Now that is something I will toast too,
Cheers!

• Ask for a Creme Frappuccino base. Don’t skimp on the fat by asking for skim or 2% milk as whole milk is required for the right consistency
• Add 3 pumps of caramel syrup
• Add 3 pumps of toffee nut syrup
• Top with caramel drizzle

Adjust the recipe based on size or if you prefer a beverage that’s lighter on the sweetness.
