Eagles check in at 85 in the CBS Sports 129 poll

  • The Georgia Southern Eagles fell to the Clemson Tigers 38-7 dropping them 18 spots to No. 85.

Falling from their ranking at No. 67 last week, the Eagles are now ranked at No. 85. Georgia Southern started the season at No. 108 and were on a consistent rise to 67 before their loss to Clemson.

The Eagles are the fourth highest ranked Sun Belt team with Appalachian State at No. 48, Troy at No. 56 and Arkansas State No. 70.

Clemson, who GS lost to this week, fell dropped from No. 2 to No. 6 after only putting up 38 on the Eagles.

With a 2-1 record, GS has a bye this week, but will host Arkansas State Sept. 29 at 6 p.m.
