1^st

NMST: Aggies go three and out on their opening drive.

GASO: Ellison opens the second drive with a 58-yard run into Aggie territory but an interception in the end zone would be the first turnover of the night.

NMST: The Aggies picked up one first down but was forced to punt.

2^nd

GASO: Freshman Shuman checked into the game at quarterback for the Eagles and were able to pick up two big passes to move the ball into the red zone. The drive ended with a field goal from Koo. 6-0, 14:53 remaining

NMSU: The Aggies worked down the field quickly with the pass and run to set up a short touchdown pass to tie things up. 6-6, 12:04 remaining.

GASO: Ellison opened the drive with a 30-yard run. A sack would end the drive at midfield.

NMSU: The Aggies got to work quickly and ran down the field with ease. The Eagle defense held at the 25-yard line to force a field goal attempt. The kick went through the uprights to take the lead. 9-6, 7:03 remaining

GASO: Fields was able to break off a 20-yard run before an interception from Shuman gave the ball to the Aggies at midfield.

NMST: The drive would come up short for the Aggies and they would be forced to punt.

GASO: The Eagles were held to a three and out.

NMST: After marching down the field with ease the Eagle defense held on fourth down to force a turnover.
