Atlanta Falcons sign Koo

Former Georgia Southern kicker Younghoe Koo has agreed to terms with the Atlanta Falcons, the team announced Tuesday.

This follows the release of kicker Matt Bryant from the team. The Atlanta Falcons have struggled this season, currently sitting at a 1-7 record and have brought in Koo in their efforts to change.

While at GS Koo set a university record of converting 86.6% of his field goal attempts throughout his college career. His senior season, Koo was named a finalist for the Lou Groza Award, given to the best kicker in FBS.

After graduating Koo signed with the Los Angeles Chargers and became the fourth NFL player in history born in South Korea.

Following the Chargers Koo signed with the Atlanta Legends in the American Alliance of Football. Although the AAF ceased operations midseason, Koo was a perfect 14 for 14 on converting his field goal attempts.
